Nestled in the heart of Staten Island at 75 Innis Street, Lacey's Bridge Tavern is a standout destination for those craving classic American and Italian comfort food served with generous portions and a welcoming neighborhood vibe. This bar and restaurant effortlessly combines the warmth of a traditional tavern with the robust flavors of hearty, family-style dining, making it an ideal spot for both casual gatherings and celebratory meals.
The menu at Lacey's Bridge Tavern is a delightful journey through rich, satisfying dishes that reveal a deep respect for Italian-American culinary heritage with a creative flare. Popular offerings include their famous Meatloaf—a dish so hearty it feeds three with leftovers—alongside standout seafood specialties like the Lobster Shrimp Clams and Mussels Fra Diavolo over Linguini and the Broiled Lobster, which seafood lovers repeatedly praise for its fresh ocean flavors and expert preparation.
Dive into their Fried Calamari, served with sweet, medium, or spicy sauce options, or indulge in the smoky, savory notes of the Steak Pizzaiola—a 28-ounce boneless shell steak topped with melted mozzarella, sautéed onions, peppers, cherry peppers, mushrooms, and garlic, perfectly paired with creamy mashed potatoes. The menu also entices with family-style delicacies like Eggplant Rollatini, lovingly rolled with ricotta cheese and marinara, and the indulgently creamy Scallops Cajun Cream Sauce over Pasta. For those who enjoy a brunch outing, the Mimosas, Prosecco, and special Irish Coffee with Rumchata provide a festive refreshment lineup that complements the hearty fare beautifully.
The ambiance at Lacey’s Bridge Tavern warmly invites guests into a cozy, unpretentious atmosphere where the joy of sharing meals takes center stage. This is a place where laughter and conversation fill the air alongside the aromas of garlic bread, simmering sauces, and freshly baked breads. The décor strikes the right balance between rustic charm and casual comfort, ideal for families bringing big appetites or groups celebrating milestones.
One of the most praised aspects by patrons like Janet Manganiello is the sheer generosity of each portion—family-style servings designed to foster communal dining experiences. The value is undeniable, as hearty entrees such as the Chicken Gabriella with sautéed chicken, rigatoni, and vodka sauce come in large enough quantities to satisfy multiple guests. Frank Castellano highlights the consistently excellent meals and attentive service, especially during the much-loved Sunday brunch and the weekly Lobster Thursdays, which have become a local tradition.
Whether you’re craving the eclectic flavors of Clams on the Half Shell, the tangy yet comforting Kielbasa & Sauerkraut skillet, or the warmth of homemade Italian meatballs in marinara, Lacey's Bridge Tavern promises a rich and fulfilling dining experience. It’s no surprise that groups often choose this venue for celebrations, appreciating its lively yet intimate setting—just ask C Wu, whose celebrations here were marked by an unforgettable spread and sharing plenty of laughs and delicious bites.
While some guests, like *1JazzyLady4U*, note the drinks menu might not cater to the cocktail connoisseur, the strength of Lacey's Bridge Tavern lies in its culinary offerings and the genuine hospitality that envelops each visit. Joseph Iacono, a first-time visitor, was quickly won over by the freshness and abundance of food paired with excellent service, an opinion echoed by returning patrons.
For those who crave comfort food with an authentic edge, a lively yet relaxed atmosphere, and dishes served in hearty portions meant for sharing, Lacey’s Bridge Tavern is an essential Staten Island gem. Whether you come for a casual dinner, a family celebration, or one of their special events like brunch or Lobsterfest, you’re in for a delicious feast that feels like home.
If you want large portions and great food come here! The portions are family style and truly they can feed a family of four! I ordered the meatloaf and it fed three people with leftovers to go home! Evan the deserts are large! But everything was delicious and the price is reasonable. I will definitely go back!...they are advertising a brunch and lobsterfest! I will definitely be back!
I have never had a bad meal here. The Sunday brunch is awesome and lobster Thursdays is a reason to go out for dinner on Thursday. Servers are friendly and attentive.
Had another great celebration here at Lacey's. Always best to come with a crowd. Food is served family style so you can share. Our appetizers were great! Grilled vegetables salad, fried zucchini (sticks) and fried potato pierogies to start. Entrees: baked ziti, stuffed rigatoni, side order of meatballs, chicken and shrimp francese and mashed potatoes. Still ordered dessert even though we were full. A cheesecake and ice cream chocolate chip cookies to share. The francese was very lemony, fyi. Always worth the visit when you have a large group.
A group of 10 went to celebrate a birthday. Lacey's a quaint place deep into Staten Island, however it's a place that is a must check out. The lobster dishes were primo Supreme. I've never had better and I'm a seafood lover. Their drinks leave a lot to be desired, but if you aren't a specialty drink connoissuer you should be OK.....The food was amazing and everyone was thoroughly pleased with their meal. I live in Brooklyn, but will venture out to Staten Island again to go to the Lacey's Bridge Tavern...
I never was here before but I was amazed by the quality of food and service. The portions are out of control and the food is very fresh. I would highly recommend this establishment. Reservations are recommended for large parties. Excellent decor. Update: Still great. Came again.
Food was good but a bit pricy. The atmosphere only received 3 stars since we sat in the outside enclosure. Give it try if you're looking for an "off the beaten path" bar food experience.
I hadn't visited here before today. TARA warmly greeted me on a fine, sunny brisk day and found her to be so kind and genuine. My drink order was taken and within a minute or two took my order and brought an amazing tray of dips for the fresh Italian bread. Butter, seasoned olive oil and a delicious homemade hummus with tahini/garlic spread. I had the most amazing Tomato shrimp bisque in a cup (the bowls are massive). Hot and so tasty. I was literally scraping the cup to get everything drop! The ribeye special with baked potato was over the moon! I was originally here for the Lobster seafood fra diavolo but that's going to have to wait till a Thursday visit, which I can't wait for with dear friends. Check out the menu. Most the items are family style large portions which is right up my alley!! Terrific experience and I'm literally amazed!!
This is one of my favorite places to go when I go home. And there are so many choices. The Bridge offers an old neighborhood vibe. You can feel the history in here. The food is amazing the atmosphere is great (eat at the front bar or the dining room in back), the staff is friendly. Its a good place.
